Birch Bay Village LifeLine
If you or someone you love wants the comfort of knowing that emergency assistance is available 24 hours a day, seven days per week at the simple press of a button, then Lifeline may be for you. Within 90 seconds, a highly trained representative of Philips Lifeline will respond by telephone to quickly asses the situation and dispatch the appropriate help to your home. This may include medical, police or fire personnel, plus a call to a neighbor or family member if requested. Lifeline offers you or your loved one peace of mind and a greater sense of security.
How does Lifeline work?
- Lifeline is provided through your local phone services; there are no additional phone charges; no long distance call fees.
- Lifeline personal help button will send a signal to the Lifeline emergency call center from anywhere in your home and up to 150 feet away from your home. It continues to work for 24 hours during power outages and the battery recharges when power is restored.
- Your local emergency personnel are contacted by the Lifeline emergency call center to respond to your emergency needs.
- Lifeline will also contact your designated family or friends.
- Lifeline is a rental service; no purchase or long-term contract is required.
- Your Lifeline personal response buttons are waterproof.
Why use Birch Bay Village Lifeline?
- Our Lifeline office is located at Birch Bay Retirement Village in Bar Harbor. We are sponsored by Mount Desert Island Hospital.
- Installation and instruction are provided by the local Lifeline coordinator.
What does this cost?
- For $35.00 per month, Lifeline provides 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
- A one time installation fee is $30.00.
- Lifeline may be paid by check.
